Why this?
Many users of EntourAid are basically trying to recover from a 2 gigabyte limit bug in Microsoft Entourage. However, a recovered 2 gigabyte database is still 2 gigabytes. So Splitter is meant to split up the database file first, making it easier to recover in parts the damaged database.

But how about this and that?
Splitter is only a simple GUI wrapper around the BSD 'split' command. It is therefore NOT meant for people comfortable with unix commands.It is NOT meant to be faster or better than plain 'split'. It is designed specifically for people who do not wish to work beyond the normal Macintosh Aqua environment.

Minimum System Requirements
Mac OS X 10.1.2 with enough free hard disk space worth twice the file to be split.
